BEGINNER SAMPLER CLASS - SATURDAY MORNINGS IN SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER, 2026
Six sessions starting with orientation at Chitter Chatter 10 am on Saturday, September 12. The next five sessions: Sept. 26; October 3, 10, 17 and 24 will be held at Bradner Presbyterian Church from 10 am t 1 pm.
Have you always wanted to make a quilt but don't know where to start? In this class you will learn basic quilting techniques that will enable you to identify and make dozens of different quilt squares. Rotary cutting, strip piecing, flying geese, half and quarter square triangle techniques will all be taught, as well as how to assemble the quilt top, how to layer it, quilt it and bind it. Can you sew a 1/4" seam? (Even if you can't you will learn that too!) The first class will cover supplies and equipment needed, amount of fabric to buy, colour selection and fabric presentation. Workbook purchase required Techniques learned in class with some work at home following. Registration fee is for classroom use and instructor only; supplies additional. Textbook purchase required for this class.
